Paramedics attempted to revive Ortega for 30 minutes without success, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Spanish Union of Actors and Actresses confirmed his death on Monday, August 26.

Ortega starred in six episodes of the first season of Elite, playing the manager of the restaurant ‘La Cabana.’ The Netflix teen drama aired for eight seasons from 2018 to 2024. Ortega’s notable acting credits also include Cable Girls, Caronte, Velvet, and The Countryside. Most recently, he starred in the Spanish soap opera 4 Estrellas.
