Democrats Accept Funds from Leader of Anti-Israel Group

( – Democrat politicians including members of the “squad” are taking money from a donor who seems to lead an anti-Israel organization. The donor is a man named Hussam Ayloush and he’s been contributing thousands of dollars to Democrat politicians for about 20 years. The Washington Examiner identified contributions to Democrats of note such as Cori Bush (MO), Rashida Thaib (MI), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (MN).

Ayloush has in the past argued that Israel has no right to defend itself against attacks. Ayloush also serves as the president of the California chapter of CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a group that was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terrorist attack in 2009. CAIR has also recently fallen out of favor with the Biden White House after voicing some support for the October 7th Hamas attack on Israel.

Ayloush has been the head of the chapter since 1998 and has called Israel a “murderous regime,” while advocating for it to be “terminated” as a nation. He has also said Jewish Americans that join the Israeli military are no different than Muslims who join terrorist organizations.

Ilhan Omar, who receives regular criticism for her anti-Israeli sentiments, has collected nearly $2,000 from Ayloush recently and received $5,000 during her 2018 campaign. He’s also made large donations to the California Democratic Party and multiple Democrat-run state committees. Among all his donations he gives the most support to the representative who displayed the Palestinian flag outside her congressional office and has been a very sharp critic of Israel and the United States, Michigan’s Rashida Tlaib. Ayloush has given her nearly $5,000 in 2022 alone.

Ayloush donated to now-Vice President Kamala Harris’ California senate campaign and to Bernie Sanders’ campaign during his 2020 presidential run. Ayloush also has a history of sharing anti-Israel and anti-Jewish articles on his social media accounts. During an exchange with a Twitter user, Ayloush voiced his support for Hamas’ October attack on Israel and referred to Israel as a barbaric and a racist occupier.
