(Daily360.com) – A 17-year-old girl from Oregon had gone missing recently and everything about the disappearance seems odd. Breauna Vaughn had not been seen since Thursday January 18th after she disappeared from her hometown of Estacada-Eagle Creek. Vaughn’s town is located near the city of Portland, Oregon’s most populous city.
The Clackamas County Sherriff’s office said the teen was last seen wearing a black hat, dark jeans, a white hooded sweatshirt and black vest. Breauna left her home without a winter coat despite the very cold temperatures and perhaps even more peculiar for anyone, especially a teenager, she did not take her cell phone with her. Her family said that she not only left her phone behind but also her medications and money.
Police publicized witness accounts that may have had Breauna getting into what they called a mystery car before exiting that vehicle and getting into another one. They asked residents in all surrounding communities and states to check their home video surveillance systems to see if they may have picked up any of Breauna’s movements. They describe her as being 5’6” tall, about 115 pounds, with blond hair and brown eyes. Her family members were actively posting photos of the missing girl all around area with the Clackamas Sheriff’s phone number 503-655-8211.
The sheriff’s department was very active on social media trying to alert the public to be on the lookout for Breauna. They wrote that her case was an open investigation and at the time no foul play or criminal activity was suspected. They pressed that she was a missing juvenile who needed to be found as quickly as possible.
Oregon’s Fox 12 reported that Breauna was safely located on January 24th but Clackamas Sheriff’s Department has not yet released any details about what happened during the time she was missing.
