Actor Mike Heslin Dies Aged 30

(Daily360.com) Young actor Mike Heslin died at the age of 30 after a sudden cardiac incident put him in the hospital for a week. His husband actor/DJ Scotty Dynamo, also known as Nicolas James Wilson, said Heslin was in “perfect health” and doctors were not able to provide a reason for Heslin’s sudden passing. Heslin is most known for his roles in “Lioness” and a TV movie “The Holiday Proposal Plan.”

Dynamo continued his statement by saying Heslin was a sweet and caring partner. Heslin helped Dynamo go through multiple rounds of cancer after he was diagnosed in early 2020. Dynamo and Heslin shared their experiences on YouTube following Dynamo’s cancer diagnosis. They wanted to bring attention to the topic of men’s health and the importance of regular checkups for curable conditions like testicular cancer, which was Dynamo’s diagnosis.

Following Heslin’s death, Dynamo said that the two were planning on starting a family. In his statement, he spoke directly to Heslin and said he would have made a great father. He also said if he becomes a father in the future, he will name his son after Heslin and hopes he can be “half the man” that Heslin was. Dynamo added that as an organ donor, Heslin was able to give life to four different families following his sudden death.

Heslin was born in San Bernardino, California and died just weeks before his 31st birthday. His first credit was in an episode of Morgan Spurlock’s series “7 Deadly Sins” in 2014. Heslin wrote and starred in a mockumentary series called “The Influencers” that was released in 2020 on Amazon Prime Video. The show was nominated for a Queerty award, which is an awards program dedicated to LGBTQ creators and actors.

In a 2021 interview, Dynamo said the cancer diagnosis he received was starting to feel like a distant memory. He was grateful to have Heslin by his side during a difficult cancer diagnosis that happened at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
