Trump Hints At Another Insurrection Should He Lose 2024 Election

(Daily360.com) Donald Trump alluded to potential violence that may occur if he doesn’t win the election in November. In an interview with Time Magazine, he was asked about his opinions regarding the possibility of political violence following the presidential election outcome. Trump stated that it depends on whether or not the voters think the election was held fairly.

In the same interview, Trump shot down allegations that he would act as a dictator for the first day of his second term. He said the previous comment he made was sarcastic and just for fun. In a December interview with Sean Hannity, Trump was asked if he was going to be a dictator. Trump responded to the question by saying no, but he would be a dictator on his first day in office. The former president added more context by saying he would close the border and authorize drilling in the United States.

Trump allegedly incited an insurrection on January 6, 2021, which has caused some people to be concerned that his comments about political violence could cause another insurrection following the 2024 election. Trump recently compared the protesters at Columbia University to the protesters at the capitol that were charged for various crimes that day. He speculated whether or not the college protesters would get the same treatment as the insurrectionists.

The Time interview covered several key topics, including abortion, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and pardons for January 6 protesters. Trump was questioned about a potential federal abortion ban and he said that issue is up to the states to decide. He didn’t specifically say whether he would sign or veto a theoretical bill if he was president.

Trump said he would pardon hundreds of people who were charged for crimes committed on January 6, 2021 in Washington D.C. He also continued strong criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu by saying the country’s leader is responsible for the attacks that occurred on October 7, 2023.
